Committed to the further development of one of the world’s leading eco engineering companies
Dr.-Ing. Udo Pauly and Stefan Rehfus are the managing directors of THE PAULY GROUP – a group of companies that are bringing social responsibility to life by exploiting the potential and opportunities of ecotechnology. The two co-managing directors are supported in their future-oriented enterprise by the divisional directors of the four business units.
Dr.-Ing. Udo Pauly, Managing Director
After completing his dissertation “Features, development, performance and profile of a root zone treatment plant with integrated sludge treatment” at the University of Kassel, Pauly formed the nursery company REED for the production of performance-optimised reed plants for wastewater facilities. This was followed in 1995 by EKO-PLANT Entwicklungs- und Betriebsgesellschaft GmbH, and other companies and business units in later years. Pauly had also held a stake in a consulting engineers business since 1981.
As managing partner, Pauly transformed the EKO-PLANT company in the space of a few years into the market leader in the sewage sludge humification segment, and is also the namesake of THE PAULY GROUP, which was formed in 2013.
Dipl.-Ing. Stefan Rehfus, Managing Director, Head of Project Planning & Service
Stefan Rehfus is Head of the Project Planning & Service unit and co-managing director of EKO-PLANT GmbH since 2015. Rehfus studied environmental engineering with a focus on water conservation at TU Berlin. After graduating, Rehfus gained his initial practical experience in ecotechnological systems such as constructed wetlands and sewage sludge humification plants, and also participated in a research programme for advanced wastewater treatment in a rural part of Brandenburg.
Since 2003, Rehfus has developed several patents for EKO-PLANT GmbH for sewage sludge humification plants and natural water parks, and initiated numerous research programmes. In 2006, he was appointed Head of the Project Planning & Service unit, which handles planning, construction and operations for our plants. In this position, he has ultimate responsibility for all planning, construction and operations activities in relation to our plants.
